Record of Ragnarok (Shuumatsu no Valkyrie) is a high-stakes battle anime and manga series created by Shinya Umemura, Takumi Fukui, and illustrated by Ajichika. It combines mythology, history, and epic tournament-style combat with a dramatic and philosophical edge.

⚔️ Story Summary:

Every 1,000 years, the gods of various mythologies (Norse, Greek, Hindu, etc.) convene at the Valhalla Council to decide whether humanity should continue to exist. This time, the gods unanimously decide to exterminate humanity due to its sins and failures.

However, a valkyrie named Brunhilde proposes a last-chance challenge: a tournament called Ragnarok, where 13 humans from history must fight 13 gods in one-on-one battles. If the humans win 7 out of 13 matches, humanity will be spared.

To even the odds, each human is paired with a valkyrie who transforms into a sacred weapon through a bond called Volund, allowing them to fight gods on a more equal level.
